What area of town are you going to end up in?
We're actually not ending up in Boulder or Denver at all, surprisingly. Or in between. My husband fell in love with Longmont. He loves the old town area, and his dream is to one day buy one of the turn of the century homes. In the meantime, we're getting a townhome in Longmont.
I have to take his word on it, haven't been there. (now, how many wives would let their husbands pick out a place to live, I think I'm like, the only one...)
I hope you brought enough sedative to share with the rest of us?
Oh, yes! Longmont is charming.
I worked there for a year, and although the drive from southwest Denver was a pain, I liked the town itself a lot. It's reasonably near Boulder, and even downtown Denver isn't too far away, as long as it's not rush hour.
Good luck, there!
