NFL Draft
Well.
I don't care about the NFL draft. I don't, and I'm not following it, nor am I asking Hubby McRed who picked who and who went where.... I certainly didn't log in to NFL.com to figure out the details of the Raiders trade to NE.
New England gets Randy Moss... WOOOOT. However, I wish they would stop positioning New England as the team to make it to the Superbowl. It's how teams get cursed. I want New England to make it, so lets stop predicting they will and wait til the actual season starts. And, for the record, seeing as I'm a New England native, no, as a matter of fact, I did not jump on their bandwagon.... it's not my fault my team rocks.
Hubby McRed is deeply concerned with Dallas' picks, and can't believe that the Dolphins didn't pick up Quinn, because, duh, they need a quarterback.

I hate the Patriot...go EAGLES! Anything that concerns slacker about the Cowboys is great for me. Why would the Dolphins want Quinn? He's not that great, just like that guy from USC (Lanert or something)...it was their receivers that made them look great. Anyway...the Eagles are going to win it all!

I am not a big sports fan. I started liking the NE teams long ago but for a completly stupid reason - crush on a guy I met when I was in high school. I just fell in love with his accent. If you love a New Englander you better love their teams.
Sorry, being in Britain, it's all a puzzle to me.
Some of us in the U.S. react in much the same way, Jean-Luc.
I hope Quinn does well in Cleveland.
Youngest Son had the draft on for awhile Saturday morning... he's a big Quinn fan... and we had to endure wall to wall coverage of every grimace and eye-roll... especially when Miami passed him up.
I did think he acquited himself well when interviewed later on, though, before he was drafted. He showed some poise then certainly....
I found myself getting annoyed at Quinn. I thought it was amusing that everyone was shocked, SHOCKED, when Miami passed him up.
I had to endure this alllll daaaaay looong until, mercifully, somewhere around 3 or 4, the NFL channel went out... but just the NFL channel...
Lolrofl...you hear about that QB from Ohio State? You know, the one that won the Heisman Trophy? I hear he got drafted in the 5th round or something.
