Inspection inspection...

I am a patient woman.

Anyhow, I'm doing everything I can to not frett about the results of the inspection. I mean, they check EVERYTHING. I"m dreading it, because I always expect the worst case. Which is not realistic, but hey.

The appraiser also came by today.

I mean, is it me, or are these folk moving fast? Like, did they have them lined up already? They did just accept the offer Sunday, I mean, sheesh. It took us a couple of days to get the inspector and a week for the appraiser!

So hopefully, my realtor will come over tomorrow with the results and it won't be too awful. The house is only ten years old.

(...sorry, I just couldn't resist the whole "move" joke...)

I hope it goes well. The problem with the home inspectors is that they're almost paid to find something wrong.

Don't be alarmed if this happens. You may be living in one of the States in which lawyers have effectively been frozen out of the residential real estate business -- there are several -- but if you're not (1) get a lawyer and (2) get him or her up to speed on your pending contract ASAP because the home inspection is too often used as a means by which to renegotiate price.

Good luck to you.

I think we're okay, my only thing is, people sometimes get out of the house using the inspection. I don't want someone to be forced to buy my home, but, I did have more than one offer so I'd be really irritated if that happened, since those buyers are gone by now.
