Do you wish to report the problem

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This crops up every time I try to close a page in internet explorer.

It asks if I want to report the problem. What I want to know is, if I did report the problem, would it get fixed? I mean, if I report the problem to Microsoft, will they then send me an email or notice that says 'Problem fixed, thank you for reporting it.'

So I always say I don't want to report it.

Then the page freezes.

So to close it, I have to hit ctr alt delete, and end the program (web site) that is not responding. Again, not sending the report.

Someone, tell me how to fix this....

If I just switched to Firefox would this problem go away?

It depends, you may have a plug in that's not cooperating. If you report it, Microsoft collects the data for their next release (which may or may not get fixed)

Look at the offending page or module... that might tell you something. I had that problem on my laptop everytime I went to a certain site, then I updated the plugin and didn't have any more issues.

Then again, you may still have the issue if you do that - you might do an XP repair (I think that's it) or it could be different if you're still running an old opsys.

I'll ask one of the geeks on my team today and see if they have any ideas.

:o) Countdown to Colorado!!!

Yes, try a different browser. Firefox is good, and I still like and use Opera.

Also, check for Internet Explorer updates.

Well,

I ran adware...
GASP 130 items!

I think there's more, anyone else got a good adware type thing that's free to downloand? I couldn't find a free spyware sweeper.

See, I ran adware, and now, the pages crash, BUT I don't have to hit ctr alt delete to end it, I can just request a report not be send... so um... progress, I guess.
